Contest Rules and Guidelines

This is the Sacred Heart Network Digital Wellness competition! 

OVERVIEW:  Join students across the Sacred Heart Network to celebrate Digital Wellness in October 2024. Students may win up to $100 in prizes by submitting a 1-minute PSA  related to the theme of Digital Wellness. 

This Challenge is open to students in grades 8-12. Winners will be announced in late October of 2024.

 

YOUR PROMPT: Pick one of the five Goals & Criteria and share how it helps students to make positive choices to promote digital wellness. 

How to submit and rubric for judging

Step 1: How to submit
  1. Fill out submission form

  2. Email Mrs. George with your Media Consent Form.

Step 2: Technical Guidelines

1. ALL Submitter Information data (Name, Student email address, Grade, School name, and Teacher email address ) must be submitted with your entry.

2. Your submission’s total runtime (TRT) must NOT exceed 1 minute.

3. When uploading your submission, please use the following file naming conventions:

LastName-FirstName-PSA-Title.mp4         Example: Doe-Jane-PSA-Digital Footprint.mp4

 

4. TO SUBMIT:

a. PSA videos must be directly uploaded to Youtube or Google Drive.

b. If using Google Drive, Select your video and click "Share" 3.) Click "Advanced" 4.) Change link sharing to "On - anyone with the link" 5.) Change access to "Can Edit" 6.) Click Save. (Please note that some schools don't allow Google Drive links to be shared outside of your school, so you may need to use your personal gmail account.)

 

5. Copyright & Content Guidelines:
All music, images, titles, footage and other copyrighted material used in your submission MUST be properly licensed. You must have permission and/or the proper rights to all content submitted. There are various resources that offer royalty free music and images. 

Step 3: Judging Rubric

40% — Information and Relevance to the Theme

  • Does the Submission tell a compelling story related to one of the Goals & Criteria? Does it teach us something new and important related to digital wellness?

40% — Personality and Creativity

  • Does your project demonstrate personality and creativity? Does it make us think or feel differently about digital wellness?

20% — Overall Quality​

  • For a PSA, video and audio quality are clear & production value is strong.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: Entries for the Digital Wellness Network Challenge can be submitted between October 1, 2024 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time and October 15, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
